Baseball Tips

When batting, don't keep the bat on your shoulder.

Relax while batting, or pitching.

A good way to help your arm is to throw to someone close- up, then after every catch go backwards a few steps till your far away.

Don't try to over- throw a baseball, 'cause you may not have good accuracy.

Boston Red Sox

Have you ever seen Manny Ramirez hit a homerun? How he drops the bat and puts out his arms... How about Kevin Youkilis' stance? Up down, up down, back, forward, back forward... Or when David Ortiz, Big Papi, strikes out? Look how mad he would be and how he throws the bat. Watch for all that. Yankees don't have any attitude if striking out or homeruns, or stances. (or have you seen Cocoa Crisp at the plate wiggling magilligin'?)

Cooperstown

Cooperstown is in NY, and is a cool place. I hope a lot of people visit to see some history of baseball, like Lou Gehrig's locker and the bat Babe Ruth used when he pointed somewhere in the stands and hit the ball there. One of the first cards, only 50 of these made (and who knows, that could have been the first or the 50th, who knows)

Safe or Out?

The slide in the 11th inning at home plate and... OUT?!?! His leg went between the catcher's legs then was tagged! The game should be over now! Safe or out? (SAFE)

Steals

Stealing can be easy or hard. In the All Star Game, we had a lot of steals, mostly the American League, though.

Scoreless All Star

The game was scoreless till the 5th innning, first time since 1990.

Changes in All Star Game

There have been changes on both sides.

Home Runs/RBIs

Matt Holiday-5th Inning/1-0 NL
Lance Berkman-6th inning/2-0 NL (RBI) Scoring Hanley Ramirez
2 RUN SHOT!!! J.D. Drew-7th inning/2-2 tie
Tajada scores-8th inning/3-2
RBI! TIE SCORE! TIE SCORE!!!!
RRRBBBBIIIII MICHAEL YOUNG!!! GAME OVER!

Right now it's the 12th inning, still tied. (top at the moment)
Now it's 1:07, and still tied, 14th inning.
15th inning! 1:30!

WIN! AL WINS! (1:38) (8:00- 1:38)

4th Inning

NL

AL
Fly 2 center, fly out foul, cought by catcher, 1 hit, and a stolen base by Derek Jeter.

Yankee Stadium

Do you think they should keep Yankee Stadium up or destroy it? So many historic moves and players... I say keep it up.

Cooperstown Heros

Down on the field, Yankee stadium, some of Cooperstwn's Heros are on the field to greet the players in the All Star Game, like Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Yogi Berra, and more!

Have you been to Cooperstown? Hope you visit, it's great!
Talk on All Star game through out the game.

MVP

Who do you think will be the MVP, Most Valuable Player? Why? What team? Does he have 20 homeruns or however many homeruns? I think...

Baseball Cards

Do you think collecting baseball cards is fun? I do. Or do you think it's worthless and takes up time? Keep collecting is my opinion. Wait till their valuable. If it's one of your hobby's, don't stop. Don't get rid of all your cards.
I have over 1000 cards, and most of them are from the '80s and '90s.
Besides, why stop collecting, too many baseball cards? There's never too many baseball cards.
If you stop collecting, don't through all your cards out. Give them to people who like to collect baseball cards.
In 20 years, who knows, those cards of yours may be worth something.

Kevin Youkilis' 2-Run Triple

"That ball is high! It is far! Damon on the track and he catches it, no, OUT OF HIS GLOVE!
3-run homer! And... No! It falls off the wall into play! That's the first time in the history of baseball that that happened. And it's going to go for a 2-run triple by Kevin Youkilis and is going to leave Damon injured, and tie score, 3-3."
Kevin Youkilis hit's a 2-run triple off Darrel Rasner's 88 mph fastball, tying the score, 3-3, and leaving NY Yankee Johny Damon injured with a left shoulder.

This happened July 5. Leaves Damon on DL for first time.

Yankee Injuries

The Yankees are having to many injuries. If they want to improve, the players need to learn not to get so many injuries. Phil Hughes is injured again. You can't blame Chien-Ming Wang for his injury, for the Yankees are American League, so the pitchers don't run the bases. Johnny Damon is injured too, but he got injured by his shoulder hitting the wall too hard, trying to catch a ball. Come on, Yanks! Stop getting injured!

All Stars

Who do you think should be on the All Star Team? On the American League? On the National League?

The people who made it, do you think they deserve it?

I KNOW that NY Yankee, Jason Giambi deserves it. He's a great player! All his hits and home runs...
